2008/09 Garden Village Tournament - Under 9's Winner

After going out in the semi-final last year Llay under 9's went two better by winning the under 9's cup

07/08 Wrexham and Disrict YFL Under 14's Joe Jones Memorial Cup Winners   
Following on from the Under 13's League win last season our under 14's team has won the Final of the Joe Jones Memorial Cup Final, after a convincing 7 - 1 over Penycae.

After a close first half which finished 1 - 1 with Penycae scoring with their own chance, the second half was all one way traffic, with Llay coming out 7-1 winners with goals coming from Ryan Fisher 3, Liam Fisher 2, Luke Bagnall 2.

To top an excellent night Ryan Fisher who has come close to beating the Llay United all time goal scoring record of 74 held by one Robbie Savage, was voted the charisma Trophies man of the Match

Following their Joe Jones Memorial Cup win Llay Under 14's were voted runners up in the Under 14's Fair Play Awards
 07/08 Wrexham and District YFL Under 11 Grils Cup Finalists
Llay Under 11's Girls team, despite being one of the youngest teams in the league, proved they were also one of the best by making it through to the Wrexham and District Under 11's girls football cup final, against a very good Mold team who had won all but one of their games ( 3 - 3 draw against Llay) during the season.

Everything was set up for a cracking final on Wrexham football clubs top quality artificial pitch, and the game did not disappoint with both teams going for the win. After some good defending by both teams the first half ended goal less.

The second half was again a close end to end affair, with Mold taking the lead through a deflected goal eight minutes from time. Llay pushed forward looking for the equaliser, but it was not to be with Mold defending strongly to hold out for a 1-0 win.

 
 2007/08 Garden Village Tournament—Under 14’s Winners 

Despite loosing their first game 2-1 to Marchweil A, Llay own there other four group matches - Park Youth 2-0, Garden Village 3-1, Marford and Gresford 3-1, Brickfield 2-0. To win their place in the semi-final against Marchweil B which they won 7-0 to book their place in the final against Machweil A.

The final was a close game finishing 2-2 after extra time, after 5 penalties each the teams could still not be split with each team scoring 3 of their 5 penalties, it went to sudden death with Llay scoring theirs and Marchweil missing, to seal a second cup victory of the season

 Under the coaching of Dave Stewart our under 13’s team became the first Llay team to win a league championship
 2006/07 WDYFL Under 16’s Fair Play Award Winners
 After their best ever league finish our under 16’s topped off a successful season by winning the Under 16’s Fair Play award voted for by the other teams in their league.

After defeating the other Llay team in the semi-finals on penalties, Llay narrowly lost out 0-1 to a strong Marford and Gresford team in the final 
2005/06 Llay Welfare Gala Day Tournament—Under 9’s Winners 
After a semi-final win against Penyfordd on penalties, Llay went on to beat Coedpourth 2 –0 in the final  
2005/06 Acerfair Tournament—Under 9’s Winners 

Following a hard fought semi-final against Penycae, Llay meet the tournament hosts in the final, eventually winning on penalties.

After defeating the other Llay team in the semi-finals on penalties, Llay narrowly lost 1-2 to Buckley team in the final 
2005/06 WDYFL Under 14’s Fair Play Award Runners-up 
After a hard season our under 14’s teams was voted runners-up in the under 14’s league Fair Play award by the other teams in their league. 
2005/06 St. Joseph’s School 5 a side—Under 14’s Winners 
After finishing the season bottom of their league our under 14’s team turned on the style to win the St Joseph’s under 14’s 5-a-side tournament 
2004/05 Llay Welfare Gala Day Tournament—Under 8’s Winners
Llay under 8's battled through the day winning 7 matches and drawing 1, to reach the final against Penyfordd, Llay won the final 2-0, to lift the cup.
 2003/04 Llay 5-a-side Tournament—Under 11’s Winners 
Following the success of the under 7’s in the morning session our under 11’s battled through their group to win the final against Coedpoeth 
 2003/04 Llay 5-a-side Tournament—Under 7’s Winners 
After battling through the group stages and semi-final, Llay won the final defeating Coedpoeth 1-0 to lift the cup
