Fun For Everyone at McDonalds Fun Day

In recognition of the club achieving Silver accredited club status our under 8’s side managed by Keith and Mark were invited to an exclusive training session with ex-Manchester United and Wales coach Eric Harrison and Wales legend Ian Rush as part of the 2008 McDonalds fun day.

The session started with Eric putting the players through their passes with a dribbling and passing drill and finished with an 8 a-side game which Eric refereed and Ian played for both Llay teams taking no prisoners. The game ended 1 – 1 with Ian failing to get a goal. (No surprise to use Wrexham fans).

The players were extremely well behaved during the session, something that both Ian and Eric commented on.
