Safely through are Llay United who defeated Penyffordd Juniors 4-2 but they did require extra time to take them through. A wonderful long range effort from Alistair Randles gave Llay a great start and ensuring a round one berth was eventually secured were Jack Pryddech and Jacob Lewis who went on to bag a brace of goals

12 September - Llangollen 1 v 9 Llay
The 1st game of the season finally arrived after all the preparations of mini-football. I believed that this would be a tight game and that my players where not ready for their first battle. They proved me wrong.
Overall it was a cracking game of football by my boys, but to be honest they did not play to their best, we didn’t play our game which was ball on the floor and pass and move. But if we win like this and not play that well, what can we do when we do play well.
Scorers: Jak Prytherch 2, Alex Purdie 2, Sam McCormick 1, Jacob Porter 1, Harry Davies 1, Own Goals 2
Man of the Match = Sam McCormick
