7th March - Rhos U8’s - Home   Back to under 8’s action with the visit of Rhos to our home pitch at the Llay School. To give more players a match we took 4 teams out today with all of the teams doing well. Out of the 12 games we won 3 drew 6 and lose only 3. Dave’s Team – 2-0 (Ben, Toby), 0-1, 0-0 Jason W Team – 0-0, 0-2, 0-0 Jason H Team – 0-0, 0-1, 1-1 Richard’s Team – 1-1 (Ewan), 2-0 (Dylan 2), 1-0 (Ewan)   Congratulations to our Man of the Match winners Ben Thompson, Owen Davies, Gareth Williams, Elliot Moore

28th February-BorrasParkAlbion U7’s - Away   Today saw us travel Borras Park Albion under 7’s,We were also able to give every player a game with four pitches being used.  which saw both clubs share 5 wins each and 6 draws.   Well done to the Llay goal scorers Jack Parry, James Langford, Toby Keenan 2, Lewis Cole, Ewan Evans 2, Alfie Lythgoe   Congratulations to our Man of the Match winners Jack Parry, Peter Pattenden, Gareth Williams, Alfie Lythgoe

21st February - Borras Park Albion  Away   Match Cancelled Snow

7th February – Kinnerton Oaks - Home   After all the bad weather and not playing for nearly 2 months it was good to get back playing football again.   Today saw the visit from another under 7’s side from Kinnerton, who played excellent football in the right spirit and this showed in the match results. Kinnerton were a bit short of players and could only manage to bring 2 teams, to ensure that we could play as many of our players as possible Kinnerton kindly agreed to ply against our three teams.   In the matches Dave’s team drew their first match 1-1 with Ben scoring a good goal to bring the score level and Dylan in goal made some great saves to keep us in the match. In the second game they won 1-0 with a goal from James. Everyone tried hard and put in 100% with the man of the Match going to Dylan Adams   Jason W team lost their first match 0-2 with Kinnerton scoring two quick goals, then in their second game they turned things around with a 5-1 win with goals coming from Lewis x 3, George and a long range goal from Evan. Man of the match went to Evan.   Jason H team had a cracking first match which was full of end to end football which ended 3-3 with the Llay goals coming from Jake 2 and Ben 1. In the second Llay got caught on the break twice to end up losing the match 0-2. Man of the match went to Kian       Well done everyone

6 th December  – Bala Home   Despite heavy rain all week we managed to get the match on, which had its ups and downs, on the down side heavy rain just before kick off drenched everyone and made the pitch very difficult. On the plus side we put in one of our best performances of the year. Credit and thanks has to go to Bala who turned up under strength, but due to the weather conditions agreed to play 5 v 4 so our players did not get to cold.      In the matches for the first time this season in the under 8’s league we did not loose a game with 2 wins and 4 draws.   Well-done to our goal scores Jake Fox x 3, Lewis Cole x 2, Dylan Sutcliffe x 2 Ben Thompson, George Rodenhurst, and Cain Salisbury.

22nd November - Llay Away   With a change of pitch to ensure that the match went ahead after two weeks of rain, we made our shortest away trip to play our under 8’s team.   Once again results improved with two teams managing their first wins of the season, with the overall results going 2 Wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats. All the players from both teams played well and were a credit to the club.   Well-done to our goal scores Ben Thompson x 3, Lewis Cole x 3, George Rodenhurst x 3, Dylan Sutcliffe and Jake Fox   Man of the match went to – Dylan Sutcliffe, Sam Wright and George Rodenhurst

8th November - Coedpoeth Away   Match Cancelled Water logged pitch

25th October- Chirk - Home   Once again our young team did themselves proud and improving every match, we managed to secure three draws and came very close to winning a couple of game. Well done to all of the lads.   Congratulations to our Man of the Match winners Ben Tompson, Tyler and Ben Prince

18th October-BorrasParkAlbion U7’s - Home   Today saw us host an under 7’s friendly match against Borras Park Albion under 7’s, which saw both clubs share 7 wins each and 2 draws. We were also able to give every player a game with four pitches being used.   Well done to the Llay goal scorers James Langford 5, Lewis Cole 5, Jake Parry 2, Jake Fox 2, Ewan Evans 2, Alfie Lythgoe, Cain Salisbury, George Rodenhurst.   Congratulations to our Man of the Match winners James, Ewan, Lewis and Jake

11th October- Brymbo - Home   Due to work commitments I could not make the trip to Ruithin, but from the reports that I have received we once again played well with their coaches very surprised with our players abilities. Unfortunately Ruithin could only managed two teams which meant that our teams only played two games each. Well done to Elliot who scored our only goal.

27th September - Brymbo - Home   Our first outing at home was played in sunshine with the pitches in top condition, if only a little hard. Brymbo brought a team of mainly under 8's many of whom benefited from playing last season.   Once again our young players did themselves proud, with the Brymbo coaches saying how well they all played   Our goal scorers on the day were Alfie 2 and George 1,   Well done lads our first win will not be far away

13th September - Brickfield Away   On our first outing in the under 8's league we travelled to Court road to play Brickfield under 8's who played last year at under 8's level, unfortunately Brickfield could only field two teams which meant that our teams only managed to play two games each. For the first match we decided to organise the teams by schools until we get to know the players a little bit better.   All of you played really well and we managed a couple of draws along the way. Well done to George and Jack Parry who scored our goals. Thank you to the players who played in goal, this is a very difficult position at under 8's but without you we could not play a match.   Remember at this level it all about learning and having fun   See you all at training
